Home Visiting Consultation

The mission of this project is to promote the social and emotional well-being of infants and young children, and to prevent child abuse and neglect, by embedding Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) consultation into home visiting programs across Hawaiʻi. 

This project is the first of its kind as a consultation contract with the Department of Health to service home visiting programs across the State of Hawai’i. We are committed to the benefit of consultation and understand that when home visitors are supported through reflective supervision and embedded infant and early childhood mental health consultation, families experience improved relational health, and children thrive developmentally.

UPCOMING TRAININGS & COMMUNITY OF PRACTICES:

AIMH HI will be hosting a series of trainings via Zoom on various screening tools. Training topics and dates are listed below with registration and flyers opening as dates get closer (training dates/topics are subject to change). 

  • Caregiver Depression Screens (EPDS/PHQ9) on March 27, 2026 from 12pm -1:30pm 

  • Anxiety Screens (GAD7) on May 22, 2026 

  • PICCOLO on July 24, 2026 

  • IPV Screens on September 25, 2026 

  • ASQ on November 20, 2026

IMH HI will also be hosting “Beyond the Screens” Community of Practice sessions following each of the trainings listed above. These sessions, led by AIMHHI staff, is a supportive space to slow down, talk through how screening shows up in real home visits, and problem solve together. There’s time to ask questions and work through those common challenges so you feel more comfortable and confident with ideas you can use right away. We encourage you to attend as many sessions as you can. After you register, you will receive a Zoom link closer to the event date.
